For the manufacture of UroTiss’ first product MukoCell®, Patient’s own mucosal cells are isolated from a very little biopsy sample, excised from patient by his physician in the clinic. The material is shipped to our laboratories at the same day. Cells get isolated from the little biopsy and cultured under sterile conditions in high standardized clean room laboratories, specialized for the manufacture of pharmaceutical cell transplants. The GMP laboratories are undergoing routinely inspection of responsible German Authorities and their standard corresponds to specific German guidelines. After 21 days, the autologous product is specified by multiple analytic methods. Subsequently, the product is shipped to the urologic clinic, where it can be implanted into the patient’s body, the graft integrates into the surrounding environment within a short time and develops into new functioning urethral tissue.
